An eclectic performer, Jonathan Kline has made a career in a number of venues & media, here & abroad. He was engaged as a solo artist with The New York City Opera in several productions, including the World Premiere of Haroun & the Sea of Stories. In addition, he has appeared in the 1st National cast of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Jekyll & Hyde, toured Europe in Phantom, and appeared at the York Theatre as Chief Martino in The Black Dahlia. More recently, he has been seen in two productions at the New York Fringe Festival: as Papa in Dancing with Abandon, and as Morrie in this past year’s production of The Seed of Abraham.
Mr. Kline is an accomplished interpreter of Early & New Music and in the past 2 months appeared as Evangelist & soloist in J.S. Bach’s Matthaus-Passion, tenor soloist in Johannes-Passion, and as a principal soloist in the rarely performed <Requiem Mass of Marc-Antoine Charpentier. Operatically, he has recently appeared in Glory Denied (Older Thompson), Chelsea Opera; Fra Diavolo (Diavolo), Bronx Opera; and The Impresario (Angel), Yard Opera.
Mr. Kline has been featured in television campaigns for TV Land, The American Liver Foundation, Dragon Ball Z, and I-Flex, being broadcast nationally, and has recently featured on the Investigation Discovery network as Felix Polk in the “Greed” segment Deadly Sins.
